PE And Sports Grant

PE and Sports Grant at Castlemorton CE Primary School

Our Vision for Physical Education and Sport
At Castlemorton C.E. Primary School, we believe that physical education (PE) and sport play a vital role in the development of our children's health, wellbeing, and personal growth. We aim to inspire a lifelong love for physical activity, encouraging every child to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. The PE and Sports Premium funding, provided by the government, allows us to enrich our PE curriculum, increase opportunities for physical activity, and ensure all our pupils experience the benefits of sports and exercise.

What is the PE and Sports Premium?
The PE and Sports Premium is additional funding allocated by the government to improve the quality of PE, physical activity, and sport in primary schools across England. This funding is specifically used to:

• Enhance the quality of PE teaching.

• Increase participation in physical activities and sports.

• Provide access to a wide range of sporting opportunities and extra-curricular activities.

• Encourage children to adopt active and healthy lifestyles.

The funding is available to all primary schools in England and is calculated based on the number of pupils on roll.

How We Use the PE and Sports Premium
At Castlemorton C.E. Primary School, we are committed to using the PE and Sports Premium funding effectively to benefit our pupils and improve our provision for physical education and sport.

Our Impact
We continually assess the impact of our PE and Sports Premium spending to ensure it meets the needs of our pupils and contributes positively to their physical and mental wellbeing.

To see a summary of our impact and specific spending details, please refer to our latest PE and Sports Premium Report below.

Sustainability and Long-Term Benefits
We aim to make sustainable improvements in our PE provision, ensuring that the impact of the Sports Premium extends beyond the current academic year. By investing in staff training and building a culture of physical activity, we support long-term benefits for our pupils, equipping them with skills and habits for a healthy lifestyle.

In order to ensure the PE & Sports Grant money is well spent and supports both current and future pupils, the Governors, Head of School and PE co-ordinator have carefully evaluated current provision, sought pupil’s views and plan to spend the allocation in a targeted and sustainable way.
