Our school is in a new place. We are part of DoWMAT, the Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust and are excited by the range of opportunities offered by being part of this organisation. We are already collaborating with the 15 other schools that form part of DoWMAT, sharing expertise and best practice.
Castlemorton is a unique centre for learning in a wonderful location. We place emphasis on academic achievement and development of the whole child. We know that children learn in many areas of their lives and at many times. Here at Castlemorton we want to maximise learning by ensuring that every moment spent here is a valuable one. We are developing and improving all the time and are involved in many new and innovative projects. Our school grounds are an outstanding feature; there is a sense of peace and wellbeing all around. We have developed the grounds into different areas offering a range of experiences for the children. We also have a forest school which is an area of woodland dedicated to outdoor education.
We are very much part of the community and enjoy positive links with St Gregory’s, our local Church. We offer lots of varied extra curricular activities for our pupils and have a supportive Friends Association. We know that success is borne from good learning and teaching. Therefore, striving for excellence, in all our learning and teaching opportunities, is at the very heart of what we do. A variety of stimuli including good IT facilities and educational trips and visits are used to enhance learning. We have supportive links with our local school cluster and with the independent sector.
Our school provides children with the opportunity to develop skills for learning and independence; encouraging their self-reliance, confidence and self-esteem. High standards are expected and all pupils are challenged and catered for. There are many opportunities for children to become really engaged with their learning. We cater for many different learning styles, enthusiasms and interests ensuring that all children are motivated and see learning as a positive and rewarding experience.
We have a committed team of enthusiastic teachers and support staff as well as very supportive governors and parents. We would very much like to work in partnership with you and your child. We welcome visits to our school; please contact the school office if you would like an informal visit and an opportunity to see the school in session. Feel free to ask any questions or discuss individual needs.
We look forward to seeing you in the near future
Yours in partnership, Amanda Smithson (Head of School)
