On Wednesday, Red Class enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Black Country Living Museum learning more about their history topic; 'How Have Children's Lives Changed'.  We found out about the life of Samuel Webb and his family who lived in a back-to-back house, sharing an outside toilet and washroom with the rest of the street.  We also discovered what it was like for children to work in the mines and factories.  School was a lot less fun in Victorian times - the lessons involved a lot of repetition.  Mrs Lee even got the cane!  

We then travelled forwards in time to learn about money before decimalisation and even went on a 1950s double-decker bus.

We had a great day, but there was still so much to see and do that we'd love to go back!
